1. Determine the maximum
temperature of utilization of the element to heat.
2. Calculate the total power
required for the utilization (see the following example of calculation
and the annexe).
3. Determine the cartridges'
dimensions taking into account the space which is available. Make sure
of the homogeneity of the CCHCs lay-out.
4. Divide the total power required
by the amount of cartridges in order to determine the power per heater.
5.Determine the heater's specific
charge (W/cm2) (power/heating surface).
6. By using the temperature defined
in §1 and the power defined in §5, make use of the graphs here above to
calculate the maximum acceptable tolerance between the boring diameter
and the heater in comparison to its power.
