RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SHAPING :

Inside diameter of coiled heater must be slightly smaller than diameter or part that needs heating up by 0.1 to 0.3mm.
Shaping is done on a cylindrical axis manually or with a lathe. A slight pressure must be exerted as shown on drawing.
The whole heating length must be coiled and in contact with part to be heated up.
As a safety precaution, part of the non-heating length must be in contact with part to be heated up too.
Do not reshape a heater that has already been shaped.

FITTING RECOMMENDATIONS :

Coiled heater must be fitted tight on part to be heated up.

RECOMMENDATIONS :

Heating element of coiled heater must be connected to the earth.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE :

In order to help maintaining a good contact over time of coiled heater with part to be heated up, coiled heater can be held down with a clamping ring that has to be tightened after first heating.
Although our heating elements are protected against humidity, they always retake humidity when not used for a long time. Heating them up progressively during short periods of time enables to get humidity out of the element.
Protect cables and connections against any material intrusion and do not exceed recommended temperatures (260°C/500°F continuously).
